Job Summary:
As a member of Kellogg's Integrated Marketing and Communication team, the Director of Marketing reports directly to the Senior Director of Marketing. This role plays a crucial part in driving the development and execution of strategic marketing and communications plans tailored for Kellogg's brand and prospective student audience. With a focus on enhancing Kellogg's reputation and boosting enrollment across our prestigious degree programs-including Full-time, Evening & Weekend MBA, Executive MBA, and Master's in Management-the Director will lead a cohesive marketing team responsible for annual market research and developing and executing integrated strategies across advertising, content development, email/CRM, and social media channels.
This key leadership role requires strong collaborative and strategic decision-making skills, ensuring alignment with institutional goals while fostering innovation and excellence in marketing practices. You'll be responsible for providing clear direction and guidance to your team, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Note: This position is based at our Evanston campus, requiring at least two days per week in-office. This hybrid working arrangement is subject to adjustment according to business and operational requirements. Occasional evening and weekend work, as well as occasional domestic and international travel, may also be required.

Specific Responsibilities:
Develop, direct and execute the annual planning, research and overall integrated marketing and communications, branding strategies for the Kellogg MBA programs. Optimize the marketing budgets associated with Kellogg MBA Programs.
Through strategic marketing and communications initiatives, drive enrollment growth in Kellogg MBA Programs. Develop and implement both short- and long-term strategies and plans to achieve program goals. Conduct thorough analysis and reporting on campaign effectiveness and tactics, offering strategic recommendations for optimization.
Act as a business partner with MBA Programs Senior Leaders in the development and implementation of a strategic marketing and communications vision. Play a key role across senior staff, fostering close collaboration and strategic alignment between Marketing Communications, MBA Programs, and other departments within Kellogg, maximizing outreach and leveraging tie-in opportunities effectively.
Lead a team of marketing professionals to execute integrated marketing plans for the Kellogg MBA programs. Provide clear direction and guidance, manage resources effectively, and oversee performance management to support team performance and achieve strategic objectives. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability among team members.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.
8-10 years marketing/communications experience.
Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)
Excellent ability to work collaboratively within a team, across groups, and one-on-one.
Must work well in a team-oriented environment and collaborate closely with others.
Well-organized with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong writing skills; ability to distill complex academic information into consumer-friendly marketing communications.
Strong analytical skills. Ability to lead data-driven projects and develop ensuing strategies.
Ability to interact well with program participants (executive), faculty, and client stakeholders.
Self-starter with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
A master's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience for which comparable skills can be acquired.
Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)
Experience leading a team in the marketing space strongly preferred.
Target hiring range for this position will be between $106,000 - $120,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
