UIC is seeking a Senior Business Manager to join our College of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Academic Internal Medicine and Geriatrics team. This role is responsible for organizing and coordinating the Division of Academic Internal Medicine and Geriatrics operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiencies, including office and administrative management, financial oversight, and organization, provider and clinical coordination, and management. Also responsible for directing and coordinating office services and related activities, including developing and supervising programs for the maximum utilization of services and equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide project management support to strategic initiatives, including participating in developing and implementing departmental programs and objectives. Independently initiates, researches, and analyzes policy and operational issues with the Division of Academic Internal Medicine and Geriatrics.
Provide advice regarding various options for action.
Coordinates and organizes special projects and initiatives for the division.
Provides high-level administrative support to the Division Chief in the execution of their duties as leaders of the Division. This includes independently managing the daily schedules and operations.
Responsible for financial transactions, including Travel and Procurement credit card purchases and reconciliations/approvals, and the development and management of purchase orders and payments through various university systems, including TEM, iBuy & Banner
Directly supervises staff who assist in the operations of the Division.
Overall administrative oversight for the Division.
Responsible for the security and retention of administrative records, including highly sensitive records.
Interpret policies, review, and implement operating procedures in accordance with the University and other governing entities.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

1. A. Bachelor's degree in accountancy, business administration, management, or a closely related field.
