Job Description

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Solution Specialist in Chicago, Illinois and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do
Provide software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Provide support for all phases of the software development lifecycle utilizing Software Development Life Cycle methodologies for project implementation, including preparation, business blue printing, realization, go-live, and post go-live support. Utilize major software platforms and create custom coding artifacts using programming languages. Build, deploy and maintain customized tools or software to modernize legacy application architecture. Evaluate technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation; identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Research user reported issues with software applications, identifying root causes and resolutions, implement fixes, and liaise between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have one year of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires one year of related work experience in each of the following:

• Performing assessments of existing information systems and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, utilizing Cross-Impact Analysis, Information System Architecture (ISA), business requirement gathering, Business Requirements Document (BRD), Deployment, Resource Allocation, Change Management, Control-M and Air Flow;
• Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, utilizing Microsoft (MS) Visio, Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), and draw.io;
• Creating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), visualizations of data trends, and data models by utilizing Tableau, MS Power BI, and Grafana in order to support business and functional requirements within the Banking and Financial industries;
• Creating technical design and unit test case documents to track test cases and issues utilizing Jira and Agile Methodology;
• Designing and developing applications using PySpark, Bash Scripting, SQL queries, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Big Data, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL), Tableau, and Power BI to meet functional needs for software applications;
• Performing data cleansing and conversions, interface design/development, and systems development utilizing PySpark, SQL, data validation, and Data Quality Testing; and
• Working with a team of developers to both produce new components and resolve defects through a standard defect resolution process, utilizing Jira, Change Management, Control-M, and Agile Methodology.
