Sr. Advanced Electrical System Engineer

Job Description

Use your advanced knowledge of the hardware engineering discipline, processes and tools to help Honeywell deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under limited supervision and alongside some of the world’s most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell’s next generation of products by designing, testing and/or validating products/processes from prototype to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs while acting as a mentor to more junior engineers. You will interact with internal and external customers in order to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications.

Responsibilities:- Provide leadership in global cross functional engineering teams for product development in electrical engineering of hardware used in complex gas detection instruments- Implement life cycle development process from requirements gathering, design, development, test, and release- Excellent documentation and design of experiments background- Use DxDesigner/Xpedition Schematic capture software to design, simulate, prototype and test- Design hardware for power use from mains in through low voltage DC for Global applications- Provide systems design and development activities in new product development that lead to new toxic gas detection products and / or improvement of current products and processes- Facilitate and participate in risk analysis reviews; DFMEA and PFMEA, Quality Audits and problem-solving field returns – Identify opportunities for cost reduction or yield improvement- Facilitate product integration into corporate management ERP systems including ECN change notices in a factory environment. Facilitate change management activities- Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment with potentially conflicting goals and objectives.

Salary Range $115,000 – $173,000

YOU MUST HAVE

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.

- 3+ years of engineering experience in cross functional product Demonstrated team building and communication skills with various functional teams including Regulatory, Quality, Service, and Marketing along with other engineering functional groups

- 3+ years experience with eCAD modeling and simulation. Prototyping and debug. Design for Regulatory including CE – EMC

- Experience successfully developing 2 products through its full lifecycle in a structured, phase-based development process

- Communication and follow-up skills.

WE VALUE

- Batchelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

- Embedded Software development and/or EE hardware development with ECAD tools

- Knowledge communication protocols LoRa, Bluetooth, etc.

- Design of test fixtures, Labview or other test software applications

- Project management and working through others globally

- Toxic gas detector development

- Experience applying six sigma methodologies
