Job Description

Description We are seeking a diligent Property Administrator to join our non-profit organization based in Chicago, Illinois. The Property Administrator will primarily focus on preventing evictions by providing housing and property management services. The role will involve working with mentally ill and physically disabled individuals, as well as dealing with subsidies and occupancy issues. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as a “trouble shooter” to resolve escalated housing and property management problems

- Utilize knowledge of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) policies to manage occupancy and subsidies

- Provide services to mentally ill and physically disabled tenants, ensuring their housing needs are met

- Use Spanish language skills to communicate effectively with diverse populations

- Perform data entry tasks, maintaining accurate records of occupancy and subsidies

- Deliver exceptional customer service to tenants, addressing and resolving inquiries in a timely manner

- Compile and manage lease documents, ensuring compliance with housing regulations

- Conduct property inspections to ensure the safety and comfort of tenants

- Utilize in-house software for efficient management of tasks and responsibilities

- Participate in training for housing occupancy certification, if not already certified. Requirements – Proficiency in Spanish Language and Spanish Translation

- Proven experience in Data Entry

- Excellent Customer Service skills

- Ability to compile and organize documents efficiently

- Familiarity with Lease Documents and their administration

- Experience in conducting Property Inspections

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Proficiency in using computer software and online platforms

- Demonstrable commitment to the values of the non-profit sector.
