Position Overview
The Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's security infrastructure. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying security risks and developing strategies to protect the company's digital assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT security, risk management, and a deep understanding of the latest security technologies and trends.
Responsibilities Include
• Design and implement robust security architectures and solutions.
• Deploy and manage security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, anti-virus software, and encryption tools.
• Monitor network traffic and system activity for suspicious behavior and respond to security incidents.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
• Develop, update, and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that security measures comply with industry standards and legal requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for improving the security posture.
• Work with various teams to identify potential security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Lead incident response efforts and forensic investigations in case of a security breach.
• Document security breaches and assess the damage caused.
• Provide security training and awareness programs for employees.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure deployment of applications and infrastructure.
• Work closely with third-party vendors and partners to ensure the security of external systems and services.
The ideal candidate will have
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are highly desirable.
• 3+ years of experience in a security engineering role or a related IT security position.
