JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods and process planning.
- Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
- Designs, develops and test and/ or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommend manufacturing methods.
- Performs products/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
- Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
- Monitor and improve the efficiency, output and safety of manufacturing processes through observations and measurements as well as by collecting and interpreting data from other technical & operations personnel.
- Maintain housekeeping at and around department.
- Apply 6s principles to all areas of the plant.
- Wear all personal protective equipment necessary to task and area.
- Perform any other duties deemed necessary by management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a US Citizen, Green Card Holder
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College degree in related field preferred.
- 2 + years in engineering or related field with proven skills.
- Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques
- Excellent cognitive and analytical skills, and reading and writing skills.
- Strong computer background, organizational, planning, and typing skills.
- Effective communication skills and human relations skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
