Job Description
- Diagnose electrical and other issues for various car makes and models and propose a course of action.
- Repair and replace faulty wiring and electrical components.
- Service electrical automotive parts.
- Install new electronic components into vehicles.
- Maintain and repair electronic components.
- Remove engine block and disassembling it.
- Clean and inspect to determine the condition of the engine.
- Replace damaged parts with new ore refurbished parts, including piston rings, bearings, gaskets, seals, pistons, camshafts, crankshafts, turbines and over.
- Reassemble engine and install back into the vehicle.
- Perform automatic transmission repair as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory time allowance and standards.
- Diagnose cause of automatic transmission malfunction.
- Remove and disassemble transmission unit and perform repair.
- Examine vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
- Install repaired transmission, replace fluids, and make appropriate adjustments.
- Road tests vehicle when required.
