Job Summary
As the Financial/Data Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring timely federal financial reporting and documentation requirements to maximize Federal Financial Participation (FFP).
Job Description
We are looking for a Financial/Data Analyst to ensure timely federal financial reporting and documentation requirements to maximize Federal Financial Participation (FFP) . This position will be full-time and remote.
Candidates must be willing to travel on-site to Springfield, IL for up to two weeks each quarter.
What You’ll Do
+ Prepare and assist with federal claiming logic updates and timely certification of the following federal expenditure reports and budget estimates submitted to the Medicaid Budget and Expenditures System (MBES): CMS-64, CMS-21
+ Prepare and assist with Medicaid and CHIP Financial system (MACFin): CMS-37, CMS-218
+ Prepare and assist with Grant Solutions.gov: OCSE-396, SF-425
+ Prepare and assist with PACAP
+ Prepare and assist with written policies and standard operating procedures
+ Provide staff training on accounting, reporting, and submittal of Federal Financial expenditures on the quarterly Federal Financial Reports
+ Audit the State’s practices to comply with Federal requirements and are based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
What You’ll Need
Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
+ At least two years of experience in financial analysis or data analysis
+ Experience with SQL, Tableau, and Power BI
+ Experience working within a healthcare domain
+ State and federal government experience
+ Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
+ Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Physical Demands
+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
+ Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
+ Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
