Job Description
Description We are in search of an efficient PC Technician to be a part of our team in Des Plaines, Illinois. The role involves managing the operational activities of our Service Center, providing customer service to faculty, staff, and students, as well as implementing IT projects. This role is a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the relocation of rooms due to construction, including moving hardware and setting up equipment
- Troubleshooting both hardware and software issues as they arise
- Setting up and breaking down computers efficiently and accurately
- Providing superior customer service to end users and resolving any IT issues they may encounter
- Training and supervising student employees to ensure smooth operations
- Flexibility to travel between campuses as needed
- Utilizing skills in Computer Hardware, Deployments, Deskside Support, Customer Service, Superior Customer Service, Microsoft SCCM, Apple Macintosh, and Hardware Troubleshooting to perform duties effectively. Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in Computer Hardware
- Proven experience in Deployments
- Proficiency in Deskside Support
- Demonstrated ability to provide Superior Customer Service
- Familiarity with Apple Macintosh systems
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and needs
- Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge in the field of PC technology.
