Our Schiller Park branch is looking for a new Air Logistics Operational Care Team Leader to join our Air Logistics team.
Your Role
Supervise the dispatch process by offering assistance/guidance to dispatch staff as needed. You correct and/or alert potential or real problems to management. Be the right hand to the Dispatch Manage
Your Responsibilities
+ Lead the dispatch team (8+ Dispatchers and drivers)
+ Help handle all related dispatch activities as needed, i.e. training, problem jobs, etc.
+ Cover the driver / IC payroll as needed
+ Dispatch all jobs to drivers quickly and accurately
+ Communicate with Control Towers,airlines and vendors with status updatesas required
+ Document and escalate all problems/situations as per company policyand procedures
+ Report vehicle accidents/driver incidents immediately to Manager/HR
+ Help schedule and manage staff & vehicle repairs and equipment
+ Schedule: 4 weekdays + 1 weekend day, Hours 9am-5pm
Your Skills and Experiences
+ Highschool Diploma or equivalent
+ 5+ years of Dispatch Experience for 3PL
+ 1+ years of experience in a leadership role
+ Working knowledge Dangerous Goods
