eDiscovery Data Collection Specialist
Responsibilities:
Perform forensic collections of data using only approved acquisition tools, label evidence, and track collections and processing/productions.
Support litigation and investigation teams by performing accurate, efficient, repeatable, and defensible handling of electronic data.
Gather and enter accurate custodian and client information into evidence tracker.
Complete quality protocols by performing logical verifications.
Compile and complete documentation throughout the lifecycle of the legal matter which may include, but is not limited to, preservation, collection notes, verification results, collection errors, and resolution steps.
Follow communication protocols using guidelines and templates.
Retain supporting evidence in document management system.
Resolve all issues identified during peer review and update documentation.
Manage information in accordance with RSM's document retention policies.
Maintain and perform periodic review of detailed documented processes and communication protocols with key stakeholders.
Work on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support, as needed.
Assist with testing application changes and evaluating new versions or products.
Maintain organized, labeled work areas.
Exercise analytical discretion within defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion to produce results.
Consult regularly with team members and stakeholders.
Design and execute search strategies to locate, recover, and organize potentially responsive ESI in connection with investigatory and litigation work.
Support and leverage process efficiencies and overall defensibility of our eDiscovery process.
Any other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree preferred, will consider relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Technical Skills:
Comfortable with most software applications and databases and the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Required)
OneDrive experience (Preferred)
Caseware and iManage experience (Preferred)

Professional Qualifications:
Familiarity with IT infrastructure and data life cycle management concepts.
Experience working in environments that can be hectic with a call for multi-tasking.
Strong communication skills.
Confident with a personality of "I Can Do & I Can Help".
Understanding of litigation and investigation processes and eDiscovery, including but not limited to data preservation, collection, processing, legal holds, and review standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to communicate complex technical details to unfamiliar audiences.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate with personnel at all levels.
Ability to manage a multitude of projects and/or problems, including complex issues that require collaboration between users, IT support, and vendors to ensure a timely response or resolution.
Must be able to maintain professionalism under pressure.
