As Staff Accountant, Here's What You'll Do:
The Staff Accountant is a key member of the company's accounting and finance team. The incumbent is required to assist the Union accounting team where required and is responsible for the effective execution and control of designated facets of the accounting function. Key responsibilities include general accounting, collections, accounts receivable, accounts payable, account analysis/reconciliations, and ad hoc projects.
Perform month-end activities including general ledger account analysis and reconciliation duties
Collaborate on the preparation of interest expense variance analysis report
Prepare weekly collections report for managers that summarize customer payment status to present to the executive management team
Assist with collection activities including Identifying past due receivables and communicating with customers to resolve and collect open balances.
Assist our billing line-call center to resolve customer questions
Serve as backup for treasury functions including cash application and ETF payment
Support our Accounts Payable team including processing credit card payments for maintenance vendors
Assist with our annual external audits
Participate in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the new asset management system
Assist in identifying opportunities in the accounting systems to streamline processes.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (License & Title, Maintenance, Client Services, and Purchasing), fostering a cohesive and productive working environment
Special projects as assigned
Here's What it Will Take to be Successful in This Role:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
Experience working in a large-scale ERP environment, preferably Intacct
1-3 years of related experience
Knowledge of GAAP
Keen attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to communicate concisely, but also analyze data as needed
Organized and dependable
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency
Ability to learn new concepts quickly
Ability to multi-task
Ability to effectively work in a team environment
