Title: Logistics Analyst
Location:East Alton, IL
Salary: $67,320 - $74,820 plus additional bonus
Schedule: Monday through Friday

Focus:The Logistics Analyst provides timely and accurate documentation for shipments in compliance with domestic and international laws and regulations, including processing shipments through U.S. Customs ACE and DOJ (Dept. of Justice) ATF systems.
Logistics Analyst Essential Functions*:
Provide timely and accurate documentation for shipments in compliance with domestic and international laws and regulations, including processing shipments through U.S. Customs ACE and DOJ (Dept. of Justice) ATF systems.
Prepare Government documentation for Military shipments.
Provide guidance to UPS export shipment process.
Maintain accurate records and databases and prepare various reports regarding international shipments. Monthly processing of military shipments within SAP for revenue recognition.
Provide proper classification for products, have a working knowledge of the U.S. Harmonized system, and respond to all U.S. Customs inquiries should they arise.
Prepare and monitor freight claims in accordance with carrier contracts and audit freight bills as to commodity descriptions, erroneous rates, and improper charges. Assist in negotiations with outside carriers.
Assist in maintaining control of freight expenditures. Generate reporting to manage freight spending.
Maintain close communication with personnel across all departments, including legal, international, military, purchasing, marketing, and contract management.
Stay current on required US DOT (Dept. of Transportation) and International Transportation training such as 49 CFR (Code of Federal Regulations), IATA (International Air Transport Association), IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods).
Schedule all inbound shipments of raw materials.
Maintain daily logs and schedules and monitor all shuttle shipments.
File and process carrier claims and support recall shipping.Work with the Dispute Management team to resolve vendor violations.
Logistics Analyst Position Requirements*:
Must meet one of the following:
Bachelor's Degree** in Business or Logistics with a minimum one year of recent related experience; OR,
High School Diploma / GED with a minimum five years of recent related experience.
Proficiency in Excel and Word; SAP and Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of U.S. import and export and U.S. trade agreement regulations preferred.
Knowledge and ability to ensure that the import and export process is compliant with company and industry quality assurance standards (ISO, U.S. Customs, US DOJ etc.) in addition to research skills.
Product knowledge preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, manage high-volume workload, and willingness to be collaborative and support team efforts.

Location-Specific Requirements:
This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
