Starkey is hiring a Senior Category Manager at it's global headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. This sourcing position accountable for managing global strategic sourcing projects for the procurement of goods and services in an assigned spend category or categories. Categories will include hardware, software, IT services, human resources, professional services, finance, travel, shop supplies, marketing and facilities. Accountable for up to $50M-$75M in annual spend and is expected to have regular interaction with cross functional stakeholders to deliver world class YOY TCO productivity savings. Lead contract renewal negotiations support major projects with sourcing partners and internal stakeholders, and coordinate projects with the Director for alignment with overall category strategy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTS
Conduct market research and maintain a working knowledge of current business trends including industry changes, cost drivers, global pricing, market conditions and economic indicators in order to identify new and/or alternate sources of indirect supplies, as needed.
Conduct ongoing benchmark reviews and perform complex financial analysis, projections and evaluations of supplier proposals for existing and new contracts.
Influence and drive collaboration between cross-functional stakeholders for the development and execution of enterprise sourcing strategies and facilitation of strong partnerships between Starkey and its global suppliers
Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure compliance to sourcing and contracting policies and procedures. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify and deliver cost savings opportunities.
Own specific supplier relationships and ensure the ongoing management of performance, quality, cost, deliveries, contractual commitments, etc.
Initiate and/or participate in regular supplier business reviews that address supplier performance, technology roadmaps, quality, OTD, business growth strategies and supply market changes.
Prepare and give business reviews to senior management regarding sourcing and contracting progress and actions to close.
Successfully manage projects/RFP/RFI/RFQ via P2P (Coupa) from cradle to grave in meeting project milestones and objectives.
Ensure the effective communication of Evolutionarily Stable Strategy (ESS), service delivery model and services/supplier offerings.
Drive compliance to and adoption of Starkey policies and procedures; resolve areas of resistance
Track and communicate productivity savings and future savings pipeline via Cost Hopper & Pre-Hopper.
Drive Indirect Sourcing opportunities and projects with global sites.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, or other technically related field
Experience
3+ years of Indirect Sourcing experience, working with both domestic & international suppliers o 2+ years of supporting international sites
3+ years of consistently driving productivity savings
5+ years direct engagement with third-party management and technical personnel preferred o 2+ years program/project management experience
Knowledge / Technical Requirements
Strong mentality of working collaboratively with internal & external stakeholders
Robust understanding of supplier engagement/management best practices.
Ability to garner immediate trust with Sr. Leaders and drive relationships.
Competencies, Skills & Abilities
Strong leadership traits including superior communication, presentation and influencing skills
Proven ability to take charge, deliver results, effectively build relationships both internal and external and communicate well with all organizational levels
Proven track record of matrix team and program management
Ability to operate strategically, while understanding the tactical implications of decisions
Strong negotiations, problem solving, analytical skills, and financial acumen. Ability to think "out of the box"
High proficiency with Oracle/Excel
