Job Description Summary

The Assistant General Counsel is responsible to provide general legal advice, contract development, drafting, negotiation, dispute resolution and regulatory compliance services for Synergie's key initiatives within the health care and pharmaceutical payor supply chain industry. The role will be responsible for driving legal and regulatory solutions to achieve ideal business outcomes. In addition, this role will work collaboratively with executive leaders, key stakeholders and clients to deliver on Synergie's mission.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Perform research and legal analysis of complex regulatory, contract and transactional matters.

Advise key business stakeholders and executive leaders on regulatory issues.

Create and assist in the implementation of compliance policies and procedures.

Draft complex legal documents to efficiently and effectively meet business objectives.

Together with senior leaders negotiate with third parties on behalf of Synergie.

Create and deliver executive level presentations articulating legal and compliance matters, objectives, progress, challenges, and successes.

Counsel senior leadership on emerging legal and compliance trends, events and matters.

Create and communicate strategies to achieve strategic business opportunities while mitigating legal, compliance and financial risks.

Assist senior leaders to effectively resolve contract or regulatory disputes.

Conduct legal and compliance training for Synergie workforce.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Certifications and Experience

JD degree with active bar license in one or more US state(s).

7 years of experience as a lawyer in health care in corporate in-house and/or law-firm environments

Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills

Proven ability to counsel and influence at the executive, C-level

Strong communication skills with ability to communicate information in open and sincere manner that promotes credibility

Excellent collaborator with track record of working with multitude of different groups, personalities, and levels of people to facilitate resolution of different views

Ability to work as team player, comfortable with fast paced, changing environment and ambiguity

Preferred Education, Certifications and Experience

Health Care Compliance experience

PBM/health plan experience

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
