Job Description

Join ECOLAB as Global Carrier Manager, Ocean and Air Freight supporting international freight modes.

In this role you will drive service and cost competitive advantage by scaling the global external partner program within the International Logistics function supported by Procurement.

This role is designed to strengthen external partnerships while evaluating current transportation suppliers. You will set the strategy for global vs regional vs local players in the international transportation space with input from every region. You will serve as the point person for Global Tier 1 Quarterly Business Reviews and dictate carrier KPI and presentation requirements.

A successful candidate requires comfort with ambiguity and passion for continuous improvement. Must have an analytical approach combined with ability to influence large decisions through high numerical and emotional intelligence.

Risk Management is a critical piece of the role as this individual will leverage carrier relationships to avoid or mitigate external environmental, political, or other routing disruption.

You will gain leadership proficiency with exposure to every region as you scale the global carrier operating model. You will be empowered to make large decisions on behalf of ECOLAB customers with full support of the International Logistics and Procurement organizations.

What You Will Do:
Build partner program while evaluating current carrier performance
Scale global program while consolidating and scheduling quarterly business review sessions
Maintain carrier selection compliance through use of TMS and non-TMS tools to ensure the operation is honoring contracts and securing cost benefits
Serve as first point of contact for new carriers and emerging partner capabilities to then filter and bring to International Logistics for consideration
Cultivate partnerships with including internal and external stakeholders
Build trust on behalf of the International Logistics organization while taking servant leadership approach to assist internal regional partners
Monitor risks and participate in scenario planning to avoid/mitigate/accept them
Sit on Procurement cross-functional leadership advisor team on behalf of International Logistics
Manage and execute quarterly business reviews
Collaborate with Procurement for Annual Freight Bids (FCL, ISO, LCL, AIR)
Serve as point of contact for rate requests and carrier inquiries
Assist in TMS master data, system enhancements, partner integrations, and platform updates
Manage ocean rate upload and maintenance in TMS (FCL, ISO, LCL, AIR)
Manage ocean contract creation, maintenance, and amendments in TMS (FCL, ISO)
Manage drayage rate upload and maintenance in TMS
Manage weekly data quality review (DQMS) milestone review with top 10 Ocean Carriers

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
7 years of previous supply chain, logistics, or related experience
Previous direct professional work experience partnering with external suppliers / vendors
Ability to work independently and interact within a team atmosphere
Strong analytical, people influence, and presentation skills
No immigration sponsorship available

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, logistics, transportation
Knowledge of TMS routing software
Strong proficiency Excel and/or building Power BI
Previous effective written and verbal communication
