About the RoleWe are seeking a visionary Senior Director of Digital Marketing Strategy to lead and shape our long-term digital roadmap. This role is crucial in driving our digital transformation initiatives and crafting strategies that increase traffic, drive engagement, and convert priority segments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital marketing, technical implementation, and customer journey optimization.This is a high visibility role that requires strong collaboration skills, creativity, and domain expertise to make a significant impact in a growing company. We measure success not by pages or features shipped, but rather by the impact we drive for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborative Leadership: Inspire and lead the digital team and act as a collaborative partner for cross-functional teams, engaging stakeholders to bring them along the journey.
Shape Digital Roadmap: Define and develop the long-term digital strategy to ensure alignment with overall business goals and objectives.
Strategy Creation: Develop, implement, and optimize digital marketing strategies that increase website traffic, enhance engagement, and drive conversions with key customer segments.
Technical Insight: Provide strategic direction on the technical implementation of digital marketing initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and platforms.
Customer Journey Crafting: Partner with UX to design and optimize customer journeys to maximize conversion rates while maintaining an exceptional user experience and respecting the critical role of design.
Innovative Mindset: Embrace a try-fail-iterate approach to continuously improve digital strategies and tactics.
Data-Driven Approach: Analyze web performance metrics to inform and drive decisions, living and breathing data to optimize digital marketing efforts.
Thought Leadership: Consult with marketing teams on customer acquisition and omnichannel campaigns.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Media, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the financial services industry.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of digital marketing technologies, tools, search engines and an appetite for experimentation.
Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making and improve performance with a bias for action.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in leading and inspiring teams, with a collaborative approach to stakeholder management.
Customer Focus: Deep understanding of user experience (UX), customer journey mapping and optimization.
Creative & Strategic Thinking: Ability to balance creative thinking with strategic planning to drive business results.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
