Job Description

Product Manager- Industrial Automation Connectivity
This role would develop and implement the strategic direction for Automated Connectivity and related products in alignmentwith divisional and business unit imperatives. The PM is expected to be a reference point for market knowledge, profitability, forecasts, commercialization, and planning.
What You Will Do in Your Role  *Develop and implement strategic product and annual business plans targeting markets, industries, and customers. 

*Identifynew product line trends and technologies and lead long range product planning.
*Increase sales and market share of assigned product lines in alignment with divisional & BU objectives. Trackprogress to plan for revenue, profit, and backlog.
*Ensure healthy profitability and return on investment of the assigned product lines in alignment with divisional & BU objectives. Undertake and lead cost optimization, capacity planning, and quality improvement projects in collaboration with the respective functional teams.
*Develop pricing strategies for new and existing products, review and approve price requests, and maintain price bands and price lists.
*Manage product development activities associated with extending and growing the life of the assigned product lines.
*Collaborate with BU Marketing to develop product promotion and commercialization plans including sales tools, literature, distribution, stock, training, and sampling.

 

Additional Skills
Organizational skills to anticipate, plan, prioritize and self-monitor workload.Effective written and oral communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express ideas, exchange information clearly and concisely, and deliver concise and effective presentations to customers and Molex personnel. Interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with co-workers and external contacts to respond positively to situations. Must be self-motivated and goal oriented. The candidate/incumbent must be proactive rather than reactive and must be able to demonstrate personal initiative. Travel to customers as needed.

The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
*Bachelor's degree in business or technical area of study
OR
*3 + years product marketing or sales experience in related industry
*Proficient in Microsoft Office
*Good understanding of the industrial automation market

What Will Put You Ahead
*5+ years product marketing experience in the connector industry
*2+ years managing a major industrial account
*SAP Experience
*Masters Degree
