Information Assurance Specialist
O'Fallon, IL - Hybrid

MUST:
Experienced Information Assurance Specialist
Active Secret clearance required
Demonstrated experience in leading and assisting in the implementation and maintenance of new security technologies
Demonstrated experience developing solutions to problems relating to improvement of information assurance effectiveness, work methods, and resources requirements, utilization and controls
Demonstrated experience using automated management information systems to perform fact finding, analytical, and advisory functions related to information assurance activities
Security+ or CISSP


DUTIES:
The primary role is to manage, create and process certification and accreditation packages working with program managers, system engineers and developers to obtain accreditation for DOD information systems.
Systems supported are primarily research, development, test and evaluation systems.
An ability to communicate complex concepts to mid and senior level management and technical personnel equally.
Expertly skilled in working with vulnerability assessment tools and applications such as Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Nessus, Fortify, as well as Security Readiness Review Scripts and Security Technical Implementation Guides Benchmarks and Checklists.
Tasks include completion of submission of accreditation packages for assigned systems in eMASS.
