DESIGN TECHNOLOGY MANAGER

Primary Responsibilities:
DLR’s Design Technology Manager will oversee the successful implementation of Design Technology and BIM (Building Information Modeling) best practices by serving as a resource to DLR Group’s professional staff during all phases of DLR Group architectural projects, monitoring the progress of BIM and design technology workflows between project teams, clients, consultants, and contractors, and ensuring that project teams are operating at maximum efficiency in utilization of Design Technology and Business Information Modeling. More specific duties include: working and learning in a dynamic technology team to support DLR Group’s multidisciplinary design team, helping produce designs for commercial, educational, and municipal buildings of all sizes and complexities; performing periodic quality assurance reviews of Revit models and reporting performance issues back to design teams to assist with resolving them; assisting in BIM execution planning meetings and setup of projects through DLR Group’s project startup portal; providing feedback to other Design Technology Managers to improve BIM best practices and efficiencies; providing mentorship to entry level design technology managers; assisting with setting up Navisworks for clash detection reviews for projects; developing Revit content and implementing standards changes into active Revit project files; assisting with the management of BIM 360 project sites; developing enterprise level software tools to assist project teams; maintaining enterprise software libraries; assisting with development of discipline standards content; and remaining current on all Design Technology related software and add-ons in standard production use at DLR Group and relaying updates and trainings to team members.
Required Qualifications
· Master’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture or Design, or a closely related field and 2 years’ experience in architectural or digital design or a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture or Design, or a closely related field and 5 years’ experience in architectural or digital design.
· LEED Building Design and Construction (BD+C) certification.
· Required experience must include experience in each of the following: Building Information Modeling (BIM) for architectural and engineering projects; AutoDesk Revit; Navisworks; Dynamo; and CAD Software.
