Part-Time Lab Technician

Birchwood Technologies is a leader in metal finishing solutions, offering high-quality black oxide products, patinas, and other metal treatment chemicals. We are committed to minimizing the environmental impact of the metal finishing industry while supplying premium product to the US, Mexico and Europe.
This role is ideal for students studying chemistry, material science, metallurgy or a related field, who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional lab setting.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Perform black oxide coatings on potential customer parts to help qualify leads. Learn about the black oxide process.
Conduct bath sample analysis and send analysis reports to existing customers.
Use patina chemicals to achieve antiqued finishes on various metals.
Assist in research and development projects for new and existing products.
Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Currently enrolled in a university program studying Chemistry, Material Science, Metallurgy, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety standards.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills.
