Overall Purpose
The Sr. Data Analyst is responsible for partnering and providing expert consultation and day-to-day support of the company's data quality & data governance function including: data analytics, dashboards, generating metrics, and measuring processes. Serves as the technical lead in identifying areas for improvement, evaluating, and implementing viable solutions.

Essential Functions
Owns root cause analysis; identifies key areas of improvement in our operational processes; provides recommendations and implements viable solutions.
Builds out the infrastructure to track key business metrics in partnership with data and engineering teams.
Launches, improves, de-risks, and scales Early Warning's products and systems in collaboration with operations, engineering, and product teams.
Ensures data requirements for operations teams are met when launching new initiatives or products.
Participates in the development and implementation of data-related strategies and initiatives.
Communicates complex findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management, in a clear and concise manner, enabling informed decision-making.
Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications
Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 5 years or more of progressive, qualifying experience data analytics, data quality or data governance or related experience is required.
The ideal candidate should be a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently and serve as a trusted expert for assigned duties as part of a team.
Passion for performing data deep dives and using statistical techniques to uncover significant insights.
Ability to learn quickly, think critically, and apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues and implement process improvements.
Demonstrated business acumen within knowledge and understanding of business issues, priorities, goals, and strategy is necessary, including long-term thinking and ability to identify and mitigate risks proactively.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and disseminate complex data-related issues and propose effective solutions.
Must possess strong organization skills, including the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects to meet various deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in data manipulation tools such as SQL, Python, or R.
Strong working knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) to create impactful reports.
Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization is necessary; must be able to clearly articulate technical ideas to a non-technical audience both verbally and in writing.
Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Background and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with statistical techniques including regression, clustering, time series analysis.
Undergraduate degree in CS.
Master's degree in quantitative discipline.
Prior experience working in payments, financial services, or similar regulated industry.

Physical Requirements
Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently.
