JOB SUMMARY: The Commercial Vehicle Spotter (CDL Class A required) is responsible for the safe operation of commercial vehicles, spotting trailers in the yard, loading and unloading of trailers and performing yard checks. This work will be primarily outdoors, and the spotter will be exposed to the elements. Spotter will also be required to help indoors and know how to operate a stand up forklift, since will be working with warehouse/shipping/receiving.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Commercial Vehicle Spotter (CDL Class A required) is responsible for the safe operation of commercial vehicles, spotting trailers in the yard, loading and unloading of trailers and performing yard checks. This work will be primarily outdoors, and the spotter will be exposed to the elements.
Operate Tractor-Trailer and/or straight truck in a safe and efficient manner.
Other duties and special projects as requested inside or outside the facility.
Always maintain safe work practices.
Maintain safeguards of confidential company information.
REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Must be able to operate or willing to learn a stand-up forklift.
Must be highly motivated self-starter; be able to work independently and/or under direct supervision.
Must be detail oriented towards work instructions and documentation.
Need to be able to adapt to changing conditions inside or outside the facility.
Have ability to listen to and follow directions.
Must be able to follow established procedures.
Must have a good attendance and tardy record.
Must be able to communicate in English both written and orally.
Must have a valid CDL license and good driving record.
Must have the ability to work in all types of outside weather conditions.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2 years prior experience of OTR driving experience or training school equivalent.
Certified Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
