Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) is accountable to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and financial plans across Fresenius Kabi Region North America. This position will work in close collaboration with Marketing, Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Finance to review and analyze sales forecast, financial forecast and help drive decisions towards one business plan. Incumbent will lead and have a major influence on ability to improve key measurements across On-Time-In-Full, forecast accuracy and working capital targets. Key participant in budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plans, and modeling tools.

This is a hybrid position, and the selected candidate will be required to work onsite in the Lake Zurich, Illinois office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

In close collaboration with Demand Planning team analyze/challenge monthly demand forecast.
Address and effectively communicate key differences between demand signal and net requirements for the manufacturing plants.
Engage with Finance to be able to convert demand and supply plan to one financial plan including risks and assumptions.
Develop processes to review, analysis and understand impact of all Inventory Management related changes.
Identify areas of process improvement and develop solutions to strengthen S&OP processes.
Measure, control and improve S&OP plan accuracy through clearly defined metrics.
Analyze and provide insights on supply and demand constraints, potential risks and opportunities, and inventory optimization.
Prepare and present consensus plan including risks, gaps, and assumptions to Senior Management.
Monitor and report on performance metrics and KPI's.
Review negative KPI trends and facilitate collaborative effort to improve KPI score.
Lead Portfolio Rationalization initiative with Sales, Commercial, Operations and Finance.
Active participant in the monthly bottom-up demand forecast review and update.
Lead/Participate in various special projects to ensure supply chain objectives are aligned with company objectives.
Document and Drive Governance Process.
Measurement and reporting of trends to assist in identifying opportunities for increased plan performance.
Completes all training requirements, including all department-specific, compliance training, etc.
Participates in all reasonable work activities as assigned by management.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree required (Advanced degree is a plus).
8+ years related experience in Supply Chain with at least 3+ years in Sales & Operations Planning (preferably in healthcare or related industry).
Executive-level verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently to execute against strategic and tactical plans under tight timelines.
Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and partner effectively with multiple stakeholders at all levels across the commercial organization.
Clear and effective communication, listening, and presentation skills accompanied by strong critical thinking, problem resolution, and interpersonal skills.
Advanced skillset with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SAP ERP.
Microsoft Excel at the advanced level experience required, including superior analytical thinking skills with ability to make recommendations based on analysis.
Travel is required to attend meeting/trainings/programs (approximately 10%) and is based on business need (via public transportation: air/auto); may require overnight travel.
Ability to work and manage change within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Ability to work effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude.
Highest level of integrity and good judgment, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive, confidential information.
Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
Ability to work flexible hours to meet business/customer needs.
