At RWE Clean Energy, the Portfolio Controlling team is responsible for the oversight of RWECE's obligations to third party investors under tax equity and partnership agreements. The Manager, Portfolio Controlling position works closely with external customers in a consultative manner, as well as across internal departments to set expectations and facilitate problem solving. The ideal candidate has proven leadership experience, is customer service focused, communicates collaboratively, and is knowledgeable of financing agreements within the renewable energy industry.
Responsibilities:
Review financial agreement obligation deliverables to external partners related to Tax Equity/JV deals, including monthly operating reports, cash distributions, tax equity flip models, annual production (PAYGO) reports, etc. Assist with guidance on annual project budget process. Maintain relationships with external financing parties
Review materials for and participate on calls with external financing parties to discuss project-level operational and financial performance and commercial issues
External communication: Coordinate responses to questions from external financing parties in timely and professional manner
Coordination and teamwork: Collaborate across business groups to maintain compliance with financing agreements and support overarching strategic and commercial business topics related to external financing parties
Develop and mentor junior team members
Update valuations for proposed tax equity buyouts
Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Tax or a related field, or equivalent professional experience strongly preferred

Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, preferably in the renewable industry

Experience with Tax Equity Financing, Financial Modeling and Valuations is preferred

Takes ownership of work and seeks guidance when direction is needed

Effective communicator capable of working with people from a diverse set of backgrounds

Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and a self-starter

Proactive in resolving issues

Strong business acumen and a sound understanding of business concepts

High Attention to detail

Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams

Clear passion and motivation to work in the renewables industry
