Salary/Grade: EXS/10

Target hiring range for this position will be between $87,899 to $114,874 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Job Summary:
The Associate Director is the functional expert and manager responsible for developing & managing key leadership giving efforts for the Law ARD team such as reunion class gift fundraising and other leadership gift fundraising initiatives across major markets. The Associate director is responsible for meeting with alumni and stakeholders \for the purpose of advancing reunion fundraising, developing leadership donors, and engaging volunteers. This role is responsible for developing broad- based strategic relationship management plans designed to identify & cultivate prospects, alumni, and volunteers in meaningful ways to deepen their relationship with Northwestern Pritzker Law. The Associate Director will serve as the program lead for all Reunion class gift fundraising activity.

Specific Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning
Gathers data, assesses leads, and develops strategies designed to realize the current and life-time giving potential of individual prospects.
Maintains consistent and appropriate contact.
Facilitates or makes solicitations.
Ensures effective stewardship.
Work closely with partners to plan and execute direct marketing solicitation for reunion classes
Collaboration
Involves moderate- to-high-level of collaboration with both internal department partners and moderate level of collaboration with broader University partners to identify & integrate resources in order to accomplish strategic goals & objectives.

Prospects & Gifts
Develops, plans & implements strategies, goals & approaches to close major gifts.
Partners with other areas of development, specifically Annual & Planned Giving to coordinate contacts.
Identifies, researches & personally solicits major gifts of $50K to $1M by managing a portfolio of approximately 150 prospects annually.
Completes associated stewardship activities.
Maintains up-to-date best practices and evaluates closed prospects.
Recommends changes to enhance innovation, objectives & goals.
Requires travel throughout the region or country.
Administration
Gathers, records and retrieves information about prospects and donors utilizing the University's donor and alumni tracking database, Internet, meetings with development staff, faculty, etc.
Prepares contact reports on meetings and interactions with alumni.
Supervisory
Supervises 1-2 staff &/or provide work direction.
Provides training to staff within or outside of immediate dept or division in regard to function.
Miscellaneous
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
4 years development, marketing, sales or the equivalent experience is required.
