Job Description

The Invoicing Specialist is the primary support for the Invoicing and Customer Disputes Supervisor and plays an integral role in the Company's Order to Cash process. The Invoicing Specialist has complete ownership of creating Customer Invoices and distributing Invoices to Customers and key stakeholders. Critical responsibilities and tasks consist of:

  • Creation of invoices for all shipments in SAP and preparation of customized invoices for specialty billing items
  • Overseeing efficient distribution of customer invoices
  • Retain shipping paperwork in an organized system, including both physical and electronic records
  • Collaborate with Customer Service Reps to resolve pricing issues and ensure invoices are generated accurately prior to distribution
  • Participate in monthly Accounting period closes
  • Prepare Customs documentation for international shipments
  • Assist with international trade compliance policies by matching shipments to AES filings
  • Provide support for revenue-focused audit requests
  • Contribute to special projects, process improvement initiatives and ad-hoc requests as needed

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate is a team player with exceptional organizational skills and someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Successful candidates are extremely detail oriented and will demonstrate a proven ability to identify and implement process improvements that advance key performance metrics centered around timeliness and accuracy. Additional qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or previous work experience with billing in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to handle large volumes of transactions
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Basic math skills for unit of measure conversions
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Office, Word) and Adobe PDF
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner
  • Experience with exports/international documentation a plus
