Purpose statement:
The Strategic Transformation Lead is responsible for spearheading IDT’s Policy Deployment (PD) initiative aimed at maintaining IDT’s position as the partner of choice for custom oligo and enzyme solutions in the genomics market. This role must be adept at synthesizing insights to identify the critical few and fostering cross-functional collaboration to drive action and establish robust processes and structures in support of top customer accounts. In this role, you are responsible for maintaining and expanding our position in top customer accounts relative to our next competitor through innovative approaches to commercial execution and positioning, as well as building operational and innovation agility to keep pace with the needs of the market while orchestrating innovation resilience against market disruption.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
+ Develop and execute a comprehensive immediate and short term strategy to grow and support key customer accounts within gene reading and synthetic biology. Identify Targets To Improve (TTIs) and implement a PD X Matrix and supporting structure and cadence to execute across various work teams.
+ Lead and coordinate efforts across various parts of the business, including Sales, Marketing, Commercial Excellence, Operations, Finance, Product Development, and Human Resources to ensure alignment with PD objectives.
+ Establish clear performance metrics and monitor progress against the KPIs through leading and lagging indicators, as appropriate. Both a strategist and an executor, with the capacity to get to know key markets intimately
+ Identify and address obstacles to PD success as they arise; coach and facilitate challenges to resolution including engaging internal and external resources or leveraging DBS tools as required.
+ Engage as a member of the strategic planning process to bring insights from customers and the market, and from ongoing PD work, to inform IDT’s 3-5 year strategic objectives and Go To Market Commercial strategy.
+ Prepare and present regular reports on project status to executive leadership and key stakeholders. Facilitate rigorous and intellectually honest debate on topics of impact and demonstrate courageous leadership both upwards and downwards to drive the right level of productive tension and discussion on important topics.
Essential Requirements:
+ Master’s Degree in scientific or related discipline with approximately 15 years of experience; PhD with 10+ years of experience.
+ Experience in corporate strategy, business development, and setting former strategic visions within organizations:
+ Market Analysis: Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, customer needs, and competitive forces to identify opportunities and potential risks
+ Business Acumen: A deep understanding of the organization’s industry, market dynamics, and financial implications of strategic decisions
+ Remote role requiring travel ~25%
The salary range for this role is $200,000 to $230,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
