ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Network Engineer will provide engineering, implementation, analytical, and daily operational support to the Organization. This specifically includes hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and analyzing issues in both private and public cloud network environments. He/She should have an advanced understanding of Cloud Service Provider technology including but not limited to GCP, AWS, and Azure. Additionally, the candidate should possess a strong working knowledge in technologies such as Palo Alto firewalls, Citrix Netscalers, and Cisco Nexus switches, along with a fundamental understanding of data center infrastructure such as servers, storage, and virtualization. His/her work is performed by following procedures and vendor documentation within a collaborative team environment, with frequent evaluations and supervision from the Manager of Network Engineering, adhering to a predefined schedule.

Required Experience:

+ Advanced experience required in private and public cloud technologies, including but not limited to GCP, AWS, and Azure.

+ Strong proficiency in Palo Alto firewalls and Citrix Netscalers, or similar load balancing technologies.

+ Experience in Aviatrix cloud services is strongly desired.

+ Strong troubleshooting skills with expertise in advanced network principles and internet architecture.

+ Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent practical experience.

+ Must be affluent in the principles of Network Technology, including but not limited to Network Strategies, Carrier Offerings Design, and VPN solutions.

+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Candidate should have a track record of excellent teamwork, written verbal communications, project management, and following procedures.

+ Availability to work weekends and/or off-hours as required to support business operations, with occasional travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Deploy, modify, and troubleshoot Cloud Service Provider based network services, including but not limited to AWS Direct Connects, Azure Express routes, and Azure Route Servers.

+ Monitor, manage, and maintain a growing Aviatrix gateway presence across multiple private and public cloud environments, deploying new transit gateways while ensuring operational health, performance, and stability.

+ Track SSL certificate lifecycle, scheduling and performing changes to ensure operational security.

+ Firewall administration adhering to strict Security and Governance guidelines.

+ Analyze network activity and problems to identify, resolve, and prevent systematic errors.

+ Serve as an advanced technical resource on a functional basis for the resolution of complex service impacting issues.

+ Required to work as needed outside regular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

+ Participate in projects aimed at continuous improvement and upgrading of network infrastructure.

+ Maintain a positive attitude, effective communication, and teamwork across all teams.

+ Work independently and collaboratively to deliver results on time and within budget.

Additional duties may include:

+ Potential for on-site work involving physical troubleshooting and maintenance of networking equipment.

+ Provide network design and configuration support to alternate teams in a collaborative setting.

+ Maintain current network inventory, documentation, and automation capabilities, collaborating with other teams as needed to address any gaps.

Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado: The expected salary range for this position is $115K to $135K and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, equity and commissions for some positions.
