- Field incoming problem requests from end users to resolve reported incidences in application, infrastructure, networking and security systems.
- Utilize monitoring tools to assess deviations from operational norms and diagnose related causes.
- Analyze performance results and recommend optimizations to hardware/software configurations and environment setup.
- Work closely with development staff to contribute to the identification, assessment and resolution of incidences affecting wide ranging technologies.
- Support the development, deployment and use of operational and security tools.
- Contribute expertise in the areas of network analysis, security, infrastructure and documentation.
- Troubleshoot programming code written in multiple languages.
- Setup, support and monitor testing and production environments within AWS cloud.
- Work with Level 1 Informatics Support Specialists, local/remote development teams, and DevOps Engineers to diagnose and resolve issues in production environments.
- Participate in knowledge sharing sessions and document procedures where applicable.
- Provide technical guidance to customer IT organizations in support of Sysmex product configurations.
- Provide application workflow guidance to laboratory technicians where required.
- Attend business and customer meetings as required.
- Engage in an on-call rotation after hours to tend to unexpected outages, threats, or system failures.
- Comply with company training requirements, procedures and policies.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

Skills and Requirements
- Working with network emulators (e.g. Putty, SSH)
- Using and setting up cloud based monitoring tools for assessing alerts (e.g. Datadog).
- Performing Linux administration.
- Analyzing network traffic, assessing system logs and configuring IP addresses and port.
- Configuring Network analyzers and performing network analysis (e.g. Wireshark)
- Using Docker or similar containerized protocols.
- Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication for interaction with other departments, leadership and clients.
- Prioritizing work and exercising independent judgment, wisdom, and common sense within established procedures, guidelines and rules.
