Senior Java Engineer / Distributed Systems / Remote

Contract
$60/hr – $100/hr
A North American technology leader is growing their AI-driven pricing and promotions division, remotely! They’re looking for strong Mid-Senior Backend Java Engineers to work on their innovative products.
They are looking for autonomous engineers with strong Computer Science fundamentals. They will expect you to be fairly savvy with Java and SQL, but you’ll also have the opportunity to leverage technologies like Kubernetes, Kafka and GCP to build out distributed systems.

Contract Duration: 12 – 18 Months
Required Skills & Experience
+ BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related field
+ 2+ years of professional experience building scalable, modern Java systems
+ Strong SQL experience
+ Proficiency with Data Structures and Algorithms
+ Cloud experience
+ Strong communication skills
Desired Skills & Experience
+ Experience with Kubernetes or Kafka are a plus
+ GCP experience would be great
+ Retail or pricing industry experience
