Job Summary:

OEM Solutions Group provides integrated solutions for OEM applications leveraging Cat® components and machines. OEM strives to solve customer problems while generating profitable and sustainable growth for Caterpillar and OEMs. OEM Solutions utilizes the CAT dealer channel as well as a direct path to market for OEM Customers. This role will be focused specifically on Material Requirements and will lead a team of Logistics Planning Analysts. This position also maintains agreed-upon inventory levels to provide a flow of materials and components from the supply chain to the manufacturing facility. Additional responsibilities will also include supplier relationship management, surplus, safety stock, and RSSM inventory processes.

What You Will Do:

- Ensuring that the environment of the inventory at the warehouse is in line with requirements for each product.

- Working directly with cross functional teams including commercial, engineering, manufacturing, scheduling, category purchasing and many others.

- Managing staffing, development, and performance management of materials management workers. Ensuring proper labor relations.

- Defining and maintaining optimal inventory levels. Performing inventory analysis and making recommendations for stock levels.

- Coordinating maintenance and support of inventory management software.

Education Requirement:

A Bachelors degree or equivalent (3+ years supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing engineering experience)

Problem Solving:

- Ensures capture of lessons to be learned from a problem-solving effort.

- Organizes potential problem solvers and leads problem resolution efforts.

- Uses varying problem-solving approaches and techniques as appropriate.

- Contributes to standard practices for problem-solving approaches, tools, and processes.

- Analyzes and synthesizes information and devises alternative resolution strategies.

- Develops successful resolutions to critical or wide-impact problems.

Distribution Center Management:

- Works with Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) basic processes and operations.

- Maintains item and inventory management records.

- Helps minimize bottlenecks and delays and the resulting impact on operating costs.

- Uses real-time inventory software, with guidance, to move supplies where needed, when needed.

- Assists in resolving issues related to physical space management.

Inventory Management:

- Performs the receiving, ticketing, checking in and distributing of inventory items for a specific location.

- Produces basic inventory management reports for senior staff to reconcile the inventory balances.

- Tracks inventory information for a specific product group or location.

- Works with basic tasks of inventory management for a specific location.

- Follows processes to take stock, release inventory or return into processing; resolves discrepancies.

Logistics Management:

- Uses tools, with guidance, to forecast delivery times, determine costs and assess performance.

- Works with logistics in a domestic environment.

- Maintains records of all shipments and invoices using an established system.

- Assists in the development of process flows to track lead time by activity.

- Participates in integrating logistics processes and developing effective networks.

Supply Chain Management:

- Recognizes software systems or components used to manage supply chain.

- Participates in supply chain analysis and uses it to spot trends and improvement opportunities.

- Discusses considerations for integrating partner and supplier transactions.

- Summarizes supply chain considerations for different types of products.

- Works with a specific part of supply chain management process.

Additional Information

The location for this position is Mossville, IL.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

This position will require less than 10% travel.
