Job Description
Oversee alterations operations including sewing and working with customers regarding alterations. Fit
and study garments on customers to determine required alterations. Measure customers, and let out or take in
seams in garments to improve fit. Take up or let down hems while maintaining garment drape and proportions
as alterations are performed. Sew garments using needles and thread or sewing machines, as necessary.
Organize seamstress’ schedules. Order necessary supplies.
