Job Description
Axiom Group LLC seeks Senior Middleware Administrators (multiple positions) in Oak Brook, IL. Install, configure, and perform day-to-day tasks associated with ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a middleware environment. Install, configure, tune, and support middleware
applications. Enforce standards, review and process requests for changes, build change schedules, execute software migration requests, support release implementations, and support automated systems and other configuration management databases (CMDB). Participate in upgrades and customization of automated systems, including the setup of load balancing, clustering, and failover. Develop automation tools for password management, monitoring, configuration, and deployment. Maintain and document version control and code base changes.
Develop support documentation. Design reports and metrics to measure effectiveness of processes and systems. Support web environment and server infrastructure using knowledge of network topology and load balancing. Deploy enterprise archives developed using Java in one or more WebLogic/WebSphere/JBoss Servers or enterprise archives developed using TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks (BW) on various TIBCO Servers. Responsible for the deployment of enterprise archive in Load Balancing or Fault Tolerant mode in WebLogic/WebSphere/JBoss Server(s). Might create TIBCO Enterprise Message Service (EMS) queue or topic per application team’s requirements. Provide conceptual guidance to other senior and high-level technical experts. Might provide assistance or training to lower-level staff. Technologies might include Java, Java Enterprise Edition (EE), J2EE, Perl, Bash, REST API, JBoss, WebLogic, Apache, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, shell scripting, F5, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, IBM AIX, KornShell (ksh), Jython, wsadmin, CA Introscope Workstation, WebLogic Server, IBM WebSphere Server, JBoss Application Server, TIBCO EMS Administration, TIBCO ActiveMatrix BW Enterprise Archive File (EAR), and/or TIBCO Business Events (BE). Travel/relocate to various unanticipated locations to interact with clients and train end users for different short and long term assignments.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical /Electronic Engineering, Computer / Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field and 5 years experience in Web Middleware Administration or related.
Must have 2 years of work experience with JBoss; Java; Apache; and shell scripting.
