As a leading wealth manager, BNY Wealth Management is focused on helping successful individuals and their families build, manage and sustain their wealth across generations and market cycles. Through a unique service model focused on five Active Wealth practices - Investing, Borrowing, Spending, Managing Taxes, Protecting Legacies - they help clients in the U.S. and abroad achieve stronger after-tax performance to help maintain their wealth over generations.
We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Fiduciary to join our Wealth Management team. This role is located in Greenville, DE - Hybrid.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
Be the trusted advisor to high-net-worth clients and families, regularly meeting & interacting with them, including in-person client meetings.
Help grow the Fiduciary business by deepening client relationships and meeting with prospects, their advisors and other centers of influence.
Evaluate new business opportunities and determine whether the new business is appropriately balanced with our firm's risk appetite.
Interpret governing trust documents, make discretionary decisions based on these interpretations and work with internal partners, clients and external advisors accordingly.
Administer trusts in an efficient and effective manner for our clients while maintaining proper controls and oversight with a focus on risk management.
Mentor junior fiduciary associates and analysts, helping them grow in their respective roles.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
JD, CTFA, or CPA preferred, but not required
12+ years of experience in trust administration
Experience & knowledge in Delaware trust administration and trust law is strongly preferred
Experience in fiduciary taxation a plus
Experience in working with high-net-worth clients and their advisors
Self-motivated with strong interpersonal communication skills
