Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and caring full-time clinician to join our Mental Health and Juvenile Justice team in Belleville, IL. In this role, you will provide client-driven services as outlined in treatment plans. You'll promote the recovery model of treatment and provide community resources to youth involved in the court systems, probation, DCFS, and detention centers.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete all paperwork on time, including assessments, treatment/recovery plans, progress notes, and other requirements.
  • Provide services outlined in treatment/recovery/safety plans, ensuring they are client-driven and meet program requirements.
  • Promote the recovery model, including trauma-informed care and empowerment, by helping clients regain control over their lives and using recovery language.
  • Offer referrals, linkages, and advocacy to community resources, especially for court systems, probation, DCFS, and detention centers.
  • Foster positive interactions within Chestnut and the community, maintaining a good program reputation, especially with juvenile justice centers.
  • Facilitate meetings between service providers and attend regional Mental Health and Juvenile Justice (MHJJ) meetings.
  • Transport clients when needed as well as budgeting funds to meet client needs.
  • Assume leadership roles regularly with minimal guidance.
  • Promote Chestnut’s customer service excellence by adhering to behavioral standards.
  • Maintain and protect the confidentiality of all organizational information, including financial and consumer information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or negotiated with the supervisor.
