Job Description SummaryThe Sr. Planning Manager's primary focus is to manage a team of strategic space and occupancy planners with expertise in supporting supply and demand planning, real estate strategy, workplace design, space analysis and space efficiency within the Client's real estate portfolio. The Sr Planning Manager is responsible for leading the development of workplace solutions that are driven by the client's business and cultural objectives. A primary responsibility will be to collaborate with team members to guide programming, identify goals, support the creation and implementation of space and occupancy strategies and plans that maximize the user experience and minimize resistance to the change.
Job Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsible for one or more of the following:
Responsible for overall client Business Partner and Product Area relationships. Meet regularly with Planning team members to evaluate team performance and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with core program standards - all C&W tools, processes, templates and outputs standardized and customized to the client
Demonstrate proactive solutioning through root cause analysis, solution development, evaluation of options and alternatives and recommendation of the best course of action for projects, processes and overall program operations
Makes recommendations to enhance operational efficiency & service delivery. Ability to produce program tools and deliverables which accomplish recommended solutions.
Coaches the team in providing effective space planning solutions and move management delivery for all project types (Expansions, Relocations, Consolidations, Refreshes)
Assesses the change impact and completes change assessments, and integrates change management activities into the planning program.,
Implements regular communications to clients, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
Keeps up to date with current and emerging trends and insights with workplace strategy, design and best practices.
JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Post-Secondary education in Interior Design or related area,
8 to 10 years of work experience in project management,, space & occupancy planning, workplace consulting, facility management
5 to 7 years of people management experience

Skilled at building organizations
Excellent customer service and interpersonal relationship skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Able to build strong relationships with internal and external partners to deliver effective services
Understands how to read architectural drawings, concepts & designs
Experienced in managing projects of varied scope and complexity
Proficient in MS Office Suite or Google Suite applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Assumes ownership of requests in order to ensure successful completion
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to handle client negotiations and conflict resolution
