Job Summary

The Principal Engineer applies standard engineering practices to resolve difficult problems, from conception to final design with team input. Manages requirements, algorithm development, design reviews with minimal guidance. Participates in test planning and integration testing.

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

Requirement's definition, system design, system-level test, and maintenance of new and existing data management products.

Conducts feasibility of proposed designs to determine their ability to function as intended.

Develops and maintains detailed documentation, for both internal and external customers.

Operates within defined processes and procedures consistent with a regulated environment.

Displays standard engineering principles to resolve difficult problems, from conception to final design with team input.

Effectively operates in and may facilitate cross-functional teams with guidance.

Assists in the preparation and participation in technical reviews and responsible for organizing data and preparing appropriate documentation for assigned projects.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5-7 years related experience. Master's degree in Engineering with 1-3 years related experience.
* Experience working in the Agile environment. Experience leading a technical team of engineers to achieve project objectives a plus.
* Experience in system design and system integration for software solutions involved in data acquisition, device configuration, and device control interfaces.
* Experience with networking, web development, and APIs using SOAP and REST protocols.
* Experience in translating marketing and regulatory requirements into system design and requirements.
* Awareness of secure software development lifecycle and cybersecurity practices.Hands on experience in applying such principles a plus.
* Experience with Medical Device Design and Development processes a plus.
* Experience in writing requirement documents for product development in a regulated environment a plus.
* Experience with Microsoft SQL Server database architecture and design preferred.
* Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills
