Job Description

When you join our Tax Advisory practice as an M&A Associate Director, you will partner directly with our clients to help them navigate the dynamic tax challenges associated with mergers and acquisitions. You won't work on compliance and returns here! Instead, you will tackle a variety of complex projects related to tax advisory, business transactions, and strategy.

As an Associate Director, you will lead the delivery of client engagements, serving as the day-to-day point of contact for the client, guiding a team of junior consultants through the engagement lifecycle, and ensuring that high quality projects are consistently executed on time and on budget. While developing your project and people management skills, you will further augment your advisory toolkit by digging deep into client problems in real-time and delivering ongoing thought partnership. With business leaders to guide you along the way - including a dedicated performance advisor - you will take on ownership of developing the business as we continue to invest in accelerating your growth.
Who You Are:
Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or Taxation
Minimum 7 years of combined experience in tax compliance and M&A advisory/consulting
You have a passion for developing client relationships and an appetite for building new skills
You get the job done and have fun doing it

You are a self-starter who readily identifies problems and instinctively looks for solutions
You demonstrate critical thinking, analytical rigor, and strong written and verbal communication skills
You enjoy participating in internal and external company initiatives such as community service, training, recruiting, and firm events
You have the ability and desire to travel as required based on client locationWhat You'll Do:
Lead research and analysis related to a variety of M&A tax advisory, transactions, and strategic issues
Use tax technical knowledge to lead engagement teams in performing buy- and sell-side due diligence and developing tax-efficient acquisition and divestment structures
Partner directly with clients to support their needs by providing on-call tax-related transaction consultative services and delivering high-quality projects
Own planning of and successful delivery against project budget and workstreams
Participate actively in the development of junior team members by providing coaching and performance feedback, and fostering a team-based working culture
Identify opportunities for revenue growth and service expansion with existing clients
The expected pay range for this position is $120,000 - $ 210,000 (exclusive of bonus, equity, or benefits for which this role may be eligible). This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making individual compensation decisions including but not limited to experience and training; skill sets; licensure and certifications; location and other business and organizational needs; and applicable laws.
