Job Description

As an M&A Director in our Tax Advisory practice, you will partner directly with our clients to help them navigate the dynamic tax challenges associated with mergers and acquisitions. You'll use your technical expertise and real-time command of tax policy to advise clients across industries on strategic issues such as risk mitigation, M&A tax implications, and tax function optimization.

In addition to leading a team of consultants and owning vital client relationships, at the Director level you will enhance your business operations toolkit by supporting executive leadership's strategy for developing the practice and increasing Riveron's brand recognition in the market. Who You Are:
Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or Taxation
Minimum 10 years of experience in M&A tax advisory or consulting
You have a passion for developing client relationships and an appetite for building new skills
You are skilled at leading and developing teams and individuals
You thrive in an ever-changing, dynamic work environment
You are a self-starter who readily identifies problems and instinctively looks for solutions
You believe that exceeding client expectations and ~having fun~ at work are mutually dependent
You enjoy participating in internal and external company initiatives such as community service, training, recruiting, committees, ERGs, conference panels, and firm events
You have the ability and desire to travel as required based on client locationWhat You'll Do:
Use tax technical knowledge to perform due diligence and advise clients on complex M&A tax implications, liabilities, and strategies
Conduct analysis to assess federal and state tax implications associated with transactions, and execute tax integration of acquired entities
Advise clients on structuring acquisitions, design and prepare acquisition transaction steps and analysis, and incorporate tax structuring advice from other jurisdictions
Contribute actively to the development of people leaders into future practice leaders
Provide guidance and issue resolution support to teams across multiple concurrent client engagements
Identify and secure opportunities for revenue growth and service expansion with existing clients
The expected pay range for this position is $140,000 - $ 275,000 (exclusive of bonus, equity, or benefits for which this role may be eligible). This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making individual compensation decisions including but not limited to experience and training; skill sets; licensure and certifications; location and other business and organizational needs; and applicable laws.
