The Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) Manager plays a vital role in managing quality performance of Mechanical commodity suppliers according to CNH Industrial business objectives. You will lead the SQE team and their activities to achieve best in class results while improving supplier performance with preventative and reactive mode. You will collaborate with suppliers and with internal functions such as purchasing, platforms, engineering, and manufacturing plants to ensure that supplier capabilities match requirements and develop supplier capabilities where applicable.

Lead and manage supplier quality engineering activities such as, Potential supplier Audit (PSA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part approval Process (PPAP), Interim Recovery Worksheet (IRW), Process Audit (PA), Program Reviews (PR), Technical Reviews, Quality Risk Assessments (QRA) and business case, to meet new and current business needs.
Monitor and improve supplier quality targets and KPIs for current product management and for new product launches.
Assure implementation of appropriate containment and corrective actions to meet quality expectations of incoming components to manufacturing plants.
Collaborate with purchasing and platform teams to define sourcing strategies, qualification of new suppliers and management of current supplier in North America region.
Apply in-depth knowledge, engineering principles and quality improvement practices to guarantee the quality of critical components from the supply base for the new product launches and for the current production.
Timely resolve issues in drivelines, mechanical, hydraulics and exhaust components and systems.
Utilize problem-solving techniques at suppliers (8D, Ishikawa, pareto diagram etc.).
Provide technical input for the support warranty recovery projects
Direct, coordinate, and evaluate an SQE team of 4 to 8 people. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
The annual salary for this role is$102,000 - 145,000(Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role).

 


Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BSME, BSIE or BSTech) with over ten years of manufacturing/quality/design/procurement or supply chain management experience in Mechanical, in Hydraulics or in similar area. Five (5) of the ten (10) years of experience should be in quality engineering, quality management or supplier quality.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time within North America

The Preferred Candidate will have:
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on time.
Demonstrated effectiveness in teamwork and communications with supplier and various internal functions.
Excellent communication (oral, written and presentation) skills.
Excellent computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.
Experience within the vehicle (on and/or off-highway) sector and its supply base.
Ability to work with personnel at all levels of organization.
Knowledge or Familiarity with manufacturing Process Improvement Methodologies.
