Job Description
Drive a tractor-trailer combination with a minimum Gross Vehicle Weght capacity of 26,001 pounds for extended periods of time in all types of weather conditions. Transport finished goods and raw material over land to and from manufacturing plants or retain and distribution centers. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, load and unload trucks. Inspect load to ensure that cargo is secured. Verify loads for accuracy and deliver them as instructed. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations such as size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods, as well as with company policies and procedures Maintain logs of work hours, vehicle service and repair status. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Follow applicable traffic laws. Travel to various unanticipated locations as required. IL CDL within 30 days of employment. Employee will be based in Batavia, Illinois at company headquarters.
