Senior Network Engineer, this role is a Hybrid role which is two (2) days onsite in Auburn, WA.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure, including cloud transformation. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our network systems. This position requires a deep understanding of network protocols, technologies, and best practices, as well as strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities:

Network Design and Architecture:
Design, plan, and implement scalable and robust network architectures to support our organization's needs. Must have knowledge and experience with IOSXE, NXOS, BGP, SD-WAN/Express Route, Routing, Private Link, Peering, vNET/Subnetting, Meraki International and Guest networks.
Evaluate and recommend network hardware, software, and protocols to optimize performance and ensure high availability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop network solutions aligned with business objectives.
Network Implementation and Configuration:
Deploy and configure network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points. Must have knowledge and experience with SNMP, Logging, ACL, VPN and FMC routine configuration and troubleshooting.
Conduct network equipment installations, upgrades, and firmware patches to maintain optimal performance and security.
Update or deploy monitoring, backup and Netflow solutions.
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth integration of network changes and minimize disruptions.
Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Proactively monitor network performance, availability, and security to identify and resolve potential issues.
Investigate and troubleshoot complex network problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Network Security:
Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and access controls. Must have knowledge and experience with ASA, FTD standalone, FMC/CDO, IPS, and VPN.
Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing to identify and address potential risks.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in network security and implement appropriate measures to safeguard the network infrastructure.
Collaboration and Leadership:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, developers, and security specialists, to ensure seamless operation and integration of network systems.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior network engineers, mentoring them in network design, troubleshooting, and best practices.
Act as a subject matter expert, participating in technical discussions, proposing innovative solutions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are highly desirable.
Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise-level networks.
