Responsibilities

 

We currently have a great opportunity available for a DevOps Engineer. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for supporting operational services using automation, DevOps concepts, continuous delivery, and configuration management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Field incoming problem requests from end users to resolve reported incidences in application, infrastructure, networking, and security systems.
2. Utilize monitoring tools to assess deviations from operational norms and diagnose related causes.
3. Analyze performance results and recommend optimizations to hardware/software configurations and environment setup.
4. Provide support for operational services using automation, DevOps concepts, continuous delivery, and configuration management.
5. Use scripting to support fully automated processes, monitoring, and reporting. Work closely with development staff to contribute to the identification, assessment and resolution of incidences affecting a wide range of technologies.
6. Support the development, deployment, and use of operational and security tools.
7. Contribute expertise in the areas of automation, security, infrastructure, and documentation.
8. Troubleshoot programming code written in multiple languages.
9. Work in an on-call rotation for after-hours support due to unexpected outages, threats, or system failures.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Percentage of Travel: 10%

Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree or 5 years required experience in Information Technology, 3 years of working experience with computer systems/programming or any equivalent in a DevOps environment.
AWS Certification preferred
ITIL Certification preferred
Java programming
Linux/Java scripting
Jenkins
Ansible or similar
Computer Skills: Network Emulators (e.g. Putty, SSH)
Linux Administration
Use of Docker or similar containerized protocols
DevOps Tools and Practices
Configuration Management tools
Other Skills/Abilities: CloudBased monitoring tools (e.g DataDog) is a plus
