Job Summary

The Sr Manager SAP ERP NAM & Medtech provides leadership and guidance for the SAP team in North America and reports to the Director & Global Solution Owner SAP ERP. The functional scope is regarding the ERP systems x55 and
x94. For this functional scope, this position is the point of contact for the business, respectively their Business Relationship Manager independent from the any regional split. This position provides functional assistance to related projects, business cases and requests for enhancements within the functional scope of x55 and x94. The Senior Manager SAP ERP NAM & MedTech partners with the business areas to identify opportunities where SAP software can provide value or a competitive advantage. The position develops proposals for projects (incl. prioritization) based on guidelines and standards set by Global IT Management. Ensures project execution is on time and within budget, based on clearly defined and documented scope. This position makes sure the SAP functional teams meet all SLA and support performance levels defined by Global IT Management. This position also serves as mentor to the North American SAP Team and provides assistance to them as needed. This role has five direct reports.

Responsibilities

Acts as the main interface as well as manage relationships between the functional/business teams, technical teams and support teams partnering with technology resources to fully realize benefits of target architecture and platforms.

Align strategic and tactical business objectives with corresponding SAP ERP NAM & MedTech objectives and long-term roadmaps. Partner with the business to develop objectives to resolve business issues. Serve as internal voice of the customer as needed by articulating business needs; validate functional and non-functional requirements are met by any proposed solutions as well as confirming alignment to technology roadmaps. Lead implementation of solution.

Provide additional 'art of the possible' insights and thought leadership on industry/functional trends and best practices to guide business priorities and technology decisions.

Value capture: Measure and evaluate SAP ERP NAM & MedTech organization's program activities and outcomes, in partnership with program sponsors, by analyzing performance metrics to ensure value creation by focusing on business capability, adoption of solution and value of project being achieved,

Lead relevant local committees and governance workgroups to align decisions and excepted outcomes. Drives, partners and challenges the business area on their current processes and assumptions to define the best solutions for the business and customer.

Facilitate the development and implementation of business cases and guide the business in effectively investing in standard product groups and the innovation services. Includes all or some definition of scope, ROI, risks & mitigations, major components of work, staffing requirements, and financial needs.

Gather high-level business requirements related to enabling business capabilities with technology. Critically evaluates the information gathered to ensure it meets the needs of the business area as well as IT goals at the enterprise level.

Project Lead/Manage medium to high level complex initiatives that require full lifecycle execution from ideation to solution execution. Effectively lead large and small workgroups at various stages of the lifecycle. Facilitate cross functional team and ensures interdependencies as required. This role will partner with business partners at all levels including the functional leaders.

Leads the support of the ongoing work plans and initiatives to ensure that interventions are completed to mitigate risks, issues, or project scope creep.

Effectively communicate the status of assigned projects to Executive leadership including risks, issues, barriers and recommended solutions.

Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management, stakeholders, and sponsors.

Point of contact for SAP initiatives (and escalations) related to the ERP Systems x55 (NAM) and x94 (MedTech) (plus their satellites)

Leads Demand Management including working with Business Relationship Manager to identify and prioritize demands, coordinating for solution proposal creation, estimation creation, review and offer submission, planning for resources, tracking and delivering changes and establishing and gaining consensus on business priorities, project goals, objectives and deliverables.
