The Software Project Manager facilitates Oncology Information System implementations and upgrades, working with both internal and external customers.
Coordinates all aspects of project implementation for a client, from initiation to final acceptance.
Implementations may involve acceptance of capitalized equipment, enterprise software systems, system/DB integrations or consulting projects/engagements.
PM is required to work at client site from time to time.
Typically involves extensive interaction with Sales, Service, Logistics, Manufacturing, and other members of our cross-functional teams.
Projects are typically focused on the delivery of new or enhanced products for the improvement of customer satisfaction using Technology and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) adoption.
Project management skills, rather than technical skills, are key, but a strong technical background is required.
PMs manage schedules and aligns forecasts to meet business needs. This is a remote based position, and candidates can live anywhere in Central or Eastern USA, within proximity to a major airport.

Required Skills and Knowledge:
Relevant experience in Project Management with Excellent communication and organizational skills, along with problem solving and risk analysis.
Confidence in presenting to Varian and customers and executive teams.
Strong customer service skills and acumen for keen conflict management and negotiating skills.
Experience with high-profile and large corporate account Project/Program Management is required.
Extensive project scoping and planning skills.
Must have a general knowledge of network infrastructure and design, client/server architecture, Cloud-based hosting, and software implementation process.
Highly desired: Knowledge of the use and deployment of Electronic Medical Records software in a healthcare environment, especially as applied to Oncology.
Knowledge and experience with interoperability between disparate systems, including HL7 and DICOM standards other desired Skills and Knowledge, PMP certification is highly desired.
Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: Salesforce, TaskRay, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, OneNote, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Position must have full access to Varian client sites to perform the essential functions of this position. Many clients require Varian employees and representatives to meet certain Vendor Credentialing requirements before they will be allowed to have access to their sites. Unless prohibited by law, position must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of employment in this position. These requirements vary by client and may include, but are not limited to: Proof of valid identification (photo, driver's license, SSN) Criminal background checks Drug screens Immunizations (COVID-19, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus) Annual TB testing Healthcare training
