As a(n) Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

 

You will have the opportunity to lead control system & technology upgrades, equipment reliability and renewals from the design to installation and commissioning.


-Support Allen Bradley PLC systems and process networks.
-Be the site control lead on Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
-Provide daily support of the site operations to ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
-Providing input when purchasing controls to support manufacturing operations.

-Interacting with process engineers and controls engineers to understand problems and assess the need for manufacturing solutions

-Assist in the development of I&E support personnel.
-Support site 24/7 operations

 

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of control engineering in a private, public, government or military environment.

 

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

 

  • Master's degree in Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) combined years of experience working with manufacturing equipment installation and troubleshooting support, experience working with power distribution systems including design, maintenance, and renewal
  • Proven track record of performance in process improvement
  • Demonstrated project leadership skills including strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Rockwell Automation and/or DeltaV control systems.

 

Work location: Cordova, IL

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
