Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP, Home Analytics (Strategic Growth Accounts) is responsible for leading analytics for identified Home Core portfolios. The role will work closely with portfolio marketing and sales leaders, and with colleagues from other cross-functional teams including finance, credit and client initiatives. The role also serves as the primary SYF analytics contact for our clients.

The individual is expected to be fully engaged in the portfolio’s strategic initiatives, identifying growth opportunities , optimizing business strategies and deriving actionable insights for our client teams and partners. In doing so, they will elevate the role of analytics in their sphere of influence. The ideal candidate must display strong initiative and ownership, have a passion for generating insights, be familiar with contemporary analytics tools, and bring interpersonal and collaborative skills to be successful in the role.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Identify, build, and implement analytics insights and solutions by using a consultative approach to anticipate, and interpret the needs of customers, partners, and stakeholders

+ Work with the Home Core Analytics leader to lead the analytics strategy and roadmap for identified portfolios , on areas such as:

+ Performance diagnostics

+ Portfolio analytics & optimization

+ Strategic and advanced analytics

+ Embracing and expanding data share

+ Establish a strong collaborative working partnership with other functional stakeholders, India analytics hub, H&A platform analytics, and analytics COEs (e.g. Consumer Engagement, Digital, Product) colleagues, including regular working rhythms and cadences

+ Thought leadership, and leading strategic analytics projects, including but not limited to customer insights, product and channel analytics, digital analytics and personalization, promo optimization, and merchant/ store effectiveness

+ Drive insightful internal and external business reviews with key stakeholders and clients

+ Initiate analytic proposals & action plans across all channels to drive marketing strategy including targeting recommendations and ‘test and learn’ plans

+ Engage and present to marketing, sales, and external clients to share insights that influence growth

+ Act as day-to-day lead and point of contact for with select US partners

+ Identify KPIs, develop measurement test plans, and provide appropriate benchmarks for testing

+ Provide offer/audience selection guidance to marketing for lifecycle campaigns based on program goals and budget.

+ Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited institution, OR in lieu of degree, 8 years of progressive experience in a marketing or customer analytics role at multi-product/multi-channel financial services organization

+ A minimum of 5+ years progressive work experience in a marketing or customer analytics role at a multi-product/ multi-channel financial services or retail organization, including:

+ 3+ years’ leadership / managerial experience in analytics in the financial services and/or retail industries

+ 3+ years’ experience with statistical and analysis tools, such as SAS, SQL, R, Python, Tableau, etc.

+ 1-2 years’ experience working on large-scale analytics projects and/or working in matrix, cross-functional environments

Desired Characteristics:

+ Master’s degree preferred statistics/ decision sciences/ predictive analytics or other quantitative field or MBA

+ Proficient with coding languages such as SAS, R, or Python

+ Experience with data visualization tools such as Birst and Tableau

+ Strong skill in project management, communications, multi-tasking, ability to work independently, and relationship management are keys to success

+ Ability to synthesize/analyze diverse information, develop and recommend strategies, and articulate clearly to business partners and customers

+ Ability to work under aggressive timelines, and prioritize project(s) appropriately based on urgency and importance

+ Ability to influence senior corporate decision makers.

+ Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

+ Ability to innovate and find creative solutions to meeting business goals

+ Proven understanding of credit card or financial services industry financial P&L drivers and key sensitivities, with business performance reporting experience

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 – 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

+ You must be 18 years or older

+ You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

+ You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

+ You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

+ New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
