Humana Healthy Horizons is seeking a Strategy Advancement Principal for Long Term Supports and Services (LTSS). The Strategy Advancement, Principal accelerates ideation and development of LTSS strategic plans and supports program transformation that maximize member outcomes and health plan performance. They promote cross functional strategic initiatives using data and trend analysis and quality improvements, establishing long range goals, objectives, and plans. The Strategy Advancement, Principal is an experienced healthcare strategist with broad, advanced technical experience who will lead multi-disciplinary teams to design, define and deliver innovative health solutions. The Strategy Advancement, Principal will be adept at evaluating and deploying contemporary digital health products to support people with complex health and social needs. They will work with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies. They will advise one or more areas, programs, or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance, and as an advanced LTSS subject matter expert competent to work at very high levels in multiple knowledge and functional areas across the enterprise.

+ Leads National Medicaid Strategic Priorities, effectively develops LTSS-based strategic goals and turns them into specific operating and business plans executed in partnership across the Enterprise.

+ Leads the strategic direction for RFP bid processes within the LTSS scope and partner with Business Development to keep an updated LTSS Content Guide.

+ Drives standardization of LTSS best practices and capabilities across markets.

+ Assesses trends and monitor success and effectiveness of the LTSS programs across states.

+ Develops community partnership including innovative models with Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs)and Centers for Independent Living (CILs) to bring the strongest programmatic support to members and caregivers.

+ Supports the Innovations Team with LTSS Vendor Partnership selection, development of operating model, and ongoing monitoring.

+ Drives meaningful innovation in LTSS capabilities based on data-driven insights.

+ Leads and influences functional partners by fostering collaborative partnerships.

+ Influences and negotiates effectively to arrive at win-win solutions.

+ Leads change and innovation by demonstrating emotional resilience, managing change by proactively communicating the case for change and promoting a culture that thrives on change.

+ Effectively represents the Medicaid Program Transformation (MPT) – LTSS team in discussions/processes within and external to Humana.

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology, Sociology, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field AND three (3) to five (5) years of prior experience leading managed long-term care or LTSS programs OR Five (5) to seven (7) years of prior experience leading managed long-term care or LTSS programs.

+ Minimum three (3) years of prior experience directly leading teams and leading departmental activities to ensure accurate and timely accounting, financial and statistical reports.

+ Experience in strategic and thought leadership in supporting Medicaid health plans.

Preferred Qualifications

+ MBA; Master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA) or equivalent.

+ Minimum two (2) years of prior experience leading integrated LTSS programs such as the Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), fully Integrate Dual; Eligible Special Needs Plan (FIDE SNP), or other similar models.

+ Experience in process improvement- Six Sigma/Lean Concepts.

Additional Information

+ Workstyle: This is a remote position with travel.

+ Travel: Up to 30% travelling to various states.

+ Typical Workdays and Hours: Monday – Friday;8:00am – 5:00pm Eastern Standard Time (EST)

+ Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

+ Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$136,200 – $187,400 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
